SELECTIVE HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST

The Selective High School Placement Test is a test, designed to measure the students' abilities through tests in Reading, Mathematics, General Ability and Writing.
The Selective High School Placement Test, is a test that tests, assesses and evaluates the students' abilities rather than merely measuring the students' performance on the School Curriculum.
The test is held only in NSW and only on the specific date each year.
The Selective High School Placement Test is used for the selection of students into the respective Selective High Schools for Year 7 Placements, under the auspices of The NSW Department of Education.

SELECTIVE HIGH SCHOOLS

Selective High Schools are specialised High Schools, catering for the specific needs of highly achieving and gifted students, who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic and social level.
Selective High Schools help gifted and talented students to learn by grouping them with other similarly gifted and talented students; teaching them in specialised ways and providing educational materials at the appropriate level.
Selective High Schools are unzoned. Therefore, parents can apply regardless of where they live.
The Year 7 placements into the Selective High Schools is administered by The High Performing Students Unit.

FULLY SELECTIVE AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOLS
